Wedding photography is an investment just as much as it’s a commitment. It’s a trust between you and your photographer. I’m here to not only narrate your story, but also to form a bond that creates an atmosphere of trust and comfort. This relationship and commitment is beyond meaningful to me. Therefore the last thing I want to focus on is up-selling packages. Each wedding I photograph is vastly different just as much as my couples are different. They require different amounts of travel, hours shooting, editing, preparation and attention. Im not a salesman, I’m a storyteller.
Wedding coverage is tailored to the complexity of your wedding day. Coverage can be anywhere from 3 to 8 hours with additional hours available if needed. Second photographers can be available with guest counts over 175. All wedding collections include a complimentary engagement session.
Engagement Sessions are available to couples who do not book me for their wedding days as well. Collections include 2 hours of coverage, up to 2 locations and 1 year of online gallery hosting with unlimited high resolution downloads.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Do you need a shot list from us?
The more time I spend reading from a shot list, the more moments of gold I am missing. I prefer to step on site with a sense of naivety. Let’s let the dog off the leash and let it happen the way it should. You should be able to focus on whats important. Not a vendor punch-list of to-do’s.
Do you travel?
You betcha. I travel the entirety of the north east for my typical weddings. Whether it’s in the heart of NYC or a remote trail in the White Mountains. With that said, I’m a father and if I can’t give my kids a kiss goodnight at the end of each day, I’m a sad panda.
What is your average turnaround?
My average turnaround is roughly 4-6 weeks during the normal part of the season and 8-10 weeks during the busy part of the season. I edit all of my own work, whereas many full time photographers outsource their editing. I prefer to have full creative control over what I create from start to finish, therefore this is the window I try to work within.
What kind of couples do you consider to be a good fit?
Anyone up for an adventure. Partners who I can call a friend when all is said and done. Weddings days are filled with every emotion you can imagine. I want to be emotionally invested in who I work with. If I’m fighting back tears during your ceremony, then its a match.
How many images should we expect?
The less time I’m traveling to different locations, the more time I’m shooting. With that said, I come from the school of thought stating quality over quantity. I average anywhere from 400-700 original and final images. A second shooter will add more.
What kind of gear do you shoot with?
I shoot with the best Canon camera gear that money can buy. I’m very big with staying current with what is new. My camera bodies use dual memory cards for added security and I also travel with backup gear in case of equipment failure.
Do you offer a second photographer?
I do! However the majority of the work I do is solo. Regardless of whether or not a second shooter is on site, I am still the one to deal directly with the couple on their wedding day. My second shooter is solely focusing on candids.
OK so what does it all cost?
It really does greatly shift based on what the wedding day entails. On average, elopements are anywhere from $1500 - $3500 based on hours and locations. Full on wedding days average anywhere from $4000 - $6500 based on hours and locations too. It really is not something I can just throw a generic number at. Thats why a conversation is a MUST so we can chat about what your wedding day entails.
